Today we lost a wonderful lady and unionist..Lavola was an AFGE member for 40 years. She served as a steward, Chief Steward and as one of my Vice Presidents . I have been very lucky to have worked and learn from her vast knowledge of our contract.. she was a staunch supporter of me.. in the very beginning of my first term as President she insisted that I was the right person to lead our local and always encouraged me to go for “one more term” nnI will miss you dear friend.. Local 2110 will not be the same.. Pam..Van.. Lucky..and Michelle promise to not give up the fight.. your dedication to our local and our union will always be appreciated and I can promise you.. always be in our hearts!

Your union in action.. joined by AFL-CIO.. thank you for joining us in our fight to save the VA for our veterans.. this congress claims to cate about our vets.. but is doing everything they can to make ya fail.. then they can say “oh we have to privatize care because VA staff couldn’t do their jobs. Yes we can.. fund us! Hire providers.. nurses.. pay us fairly.. update standards.. OPM we are working under 1968 or older standards!!
