Hello 👋🏻 Regardless of what happens in the Wisconsin legislature today, we will continue to wear masks & require our clients to do the same for the foreseeable future. We want to keep ourselves, our families, and our clients as healthy and safe as possible! We also want to do our part to slow the spread of COVID in the community as well.⁣n⁣nI also wanted to add that there are many Estheticians and beauty industry professionals in other states who are not able to work at all right now. There are also many small businesses in our area who are struggling, or who have closed permanently. We are SO lucky to be working and surviving financially, and I do not take that for granted at all!⁣n⁣nStay masked and support local businesses please 🙏🏻

I kept writing, deleting, editing...really trying to find the words to explain what 2020 was for me. It’s difficult to sum up this past year because it was just so. damn. much. It was wild, uncertain, and heartbreaking. But it was also eye-opening, transformative, and beautiful in its own twisted way.⁣n⁣nI had to let my team go, close for 11 weeks, and just wait for the day I could see my clients again. It felt like my business was being placed on a shelf to collect dust, and there was nothing I could do about it. It hurt in the beginning, but I became comfortable with the uncertainty and learned to go with the flow.⁣n⁣nThis year gave me the opportunity to slow down and reflect. It gave me more time with my husband at home, and time to evaluate my priorities. I realized that the past few years have been full of hustle and growth, to the point of exhaustion. I constantly worked, both in the treatment room and at home after a full day of clients, I was doing services I didn’t like, and working towards things I felt I *should* be doing rather than actually *wanting* to do them. This sudden slow-down period was actually a gift in disguise, and reopening in June felt like a fresh start in a way.⁣n⁣nI’ve been insanely busy since June, and I am both SO thankful and SO exhausted. Being busy allowed me to make up for the lost income during the shutdown, and also fulfill a big dream of having my own space. But now that I’m settled in my new location, I plan on chilling for a bit before I try to tackle the next big thing in my business.⁣n⁣nThis is the first year I don’t have any big goals for my business, all of my goals for 2021 are very personal. I’m committed to making more time for my life, hobbies, and family outside of work this year. I’ll still be taking new clients, but at a much slower pace and also being more selective about the new clients I take on.
