Brothers & Sisters,n nWe’re at the home stretch for this campaign.n nWe must keep one thing in mind that the IE is a battle ground region, as we move to change the IE, we need to continue to change our house locally, as we mobilize to move the vote for NO on the Recall, let’s remember one thing we are mobilizing for LABOR to continue improving the lives of our members.n nThis Labor Council doesn’t see politics as a spectator sport and this recall threatens us as a whole, let’s not forget what happened the last time we had a recall, we got a policy that he passed that was just restored for Homecare Providers across the state, let’s make one thing clear this is not about being a D or an R, this is about LABOR and negative impact this would cause for us as Labor.n nSo let’s put on our comfortable shoes to literature drop, bring a seat cushion to sit and phone bank.n nLabor in the Inland Empire is ready to do our part, nLet’s get to work!

This Wednesday Student Researchers organizing a union across the UC will be holding a coordinated day of action demanding that the UC recognize their union now that PERB has verified their majority. At UC Riverside our action will be starting at the Belltower and conclude with a march to chancellor Wilcox's office to deliver a letter to that effect. nnWhat: The Votes Are In, UC: Recognize SRU-UAW and start bargaining now!nWhere: Clock Tower, UC Riverside CampusnWhen: Aug. 25th, 11am-12pm
