Unfortunately we’re not going to be able to make it to Maggie Valley this weekend, as advertised. We are so booked up with client work that we just can’t justify taking a long weekend away from the shop. nWe are also going to be pushing back the completion date for Paisley, which we hoped to have at Florida BugJam in November. Again - we need to put our client’s cars first. nThe draw date is still locked in for July 5th though, so we need to knuckle down on the fundraising. As much as we didn’t want to do it again, it looks like Paisley will end up being another three month build, once we clear the backlog of client jobs!nWith that in mind, head over to www.charitybeetle.com and donate for your chance to win this beautiful, classic, brand new ‘vintage’ car!
This 74 just sitting out here, fixing to be the sexiest Sun Bug, ever! She’s just waiting on some final sunroof parts so she can go home. It’s always frustrating when that last piece of the puzzle is missing, but that’s the nature of classic car restoration. As always, we’re super grateful for patient, understanding clients.
Just a quick heads-up for anyone wanting to have work done that we are currently taking bookings for March, 2022. We now require a $500 non-refundable deposit to lock in your place in the queue. Your deposit is then put towards the labor component of your job. Spaces are filling up pretty quickly at the moment, so if there’s work you need done, send us a message and we will get back to you ASAP.
We really need your help to make this thing work. If you have a VW, enter it! If you don’t, get your friends to enter. It doesn’t need to be a shiny show car, we want to see all the Volkswagens! Enter on the website www.dubduel.com
Make sure you grab a copy of VolksAmerica to check out the sweet little feature on Charity.
Nothing tests your dedication to the cause quite like sitting in the trunk of a 52 Split for two days, installing a wiring harness. One step closer to putting another one back on the road!
No excuse for missing us at shows now (not that we aren’t already hard to miss 😂) Just got in this huge 10’ banner for Paisley. This will become part of our car show display until next July, and then the lucky winner will have a cool display for their garage…or living room, if that’s what they’re into. nOur next show will be VWs in the Valley, in Maggie Valley, NC, on September 17/18. nIf you’d like a chance to win Paisley, complete with giant banner, donate today for your chance to win at www.charitybeetle.com/paisley
Friendly reminder that we will be at Tannehill VolksJam 2021 this Saturday, the 28th of August. It's at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park, here in Alabama. If you're in the area, come on down and support the local scene. We'll have Charity and Lily with us, and you can pick up your entries to win Paisley, as well.nVisit the event page for all the details!
